Domiciliary Care

CarLab Healthcare Domiciliary Care services cover all of the requirements of the individual as if they were receiving care in a care home, plus other specific tasks. These can include:

How does it work for private clients?

Our team will carry out a full assessment of your needs. This takes approximately 2 hours, during which we will ask a lot of questions. At the end of the assessment, we will have a good understand of the level of care you require plus all your Likes and Dislikes. We will deploy staff members that are trained to offer the level of care you require.

Home Care

Home care is when trained support workers or nurses (depending on your needs) provide care for you, in your own home. This can be from simple tasks to complex needs. A specialist team will sit down with you and will assess what type of care you need. Based on the assessment we will deploy the appropriate staff members and create a care plan, tailored to your needs.

Assisted Living

Although people live independently in flats or bungalows, staff are on site to provide the care and support they need to maintain a good quality of life. Depending on individual needs, staff can help with washing and cleaning or shopping and laundry.

The care services you receive may be provided by your local authority, the housing provider or private home care agencies.

Home Help

Our trained support workers can carry out a range of duties: personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, shopping, laundry, companionship etc. During our assessment you can tell us what the main daily struggles are, and we will focus on those.

All our private packages can be tailored to your preferences.

Live in care

This is when our support workers move in with you. It can be for a few days or weeks, even months. This depends on the availability of our staff. Sometimes our staff will carry out this duty in turns. The main point here is that you will have access to a trained staff member around the clock. The staff member will help you with the daily chores, companionship, and personal care.

Dementia Care

As we all know dementia, is an irreversible disease that affects the brain. Due to the memory loss (which is one of the main symptoms of Dementia) an individual loses a lot of mental and physical abilities. Individuals living with dementia can also show behaviour that challenges. Having somebody with them is a must as they become extremely vulnerable. The care we provide depends on the symptoms as each individual is unique and Dementia can affect us in many ways.

Parkinson’s Care

Parkinson’s Disease is a very common type of Dementia that requires a more careful approach due to its characteristics. For example, the medication must be given at exact hours, or the symptoms can spike up. The symptoms are unpleasant and include severe tremor, hallucinations, delusions, and episodes of paranoia.

Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation, or balance. It’s a lifelong condition that can sometimes cause serious disability.

As you can imagine people living with MS must rely on others. They are at great risk of malnutrition, dehydration and developing pressure ulcers.

Complex Care

There are a large number of medical conditions that require trained nurses for example to perform high risk or invasive procedures. Here are some examples: change of a urinary catheter, tracheostomy care, injections, intra venous fluids or medication, complex wounds. Our nurses are trained to perform these complex techniques in your own home.
